API

Great Content as a Service. No Commitments.

FeedSyndicate offers affordable volume-based access to our Content as a Service API in a way that lets you provide the content part of your mobile or web application.

Content as a Service can be accessed via REST or SOAP and the API can be accessed using any programming language. We provide an easy to use web based FeedWizard to provision and setup data feeds in your choice of XML based formats.

FeedSyndicate’s content API is usage-based with low minimums and no long term contracts. The more queries that a content account makes per month, the less the per-query fee is. A typical query costs just a fraction of a penny.

Frequently Asked Questions

What content is included?

Everything!  Full text news and images, headlines and summaries, stocks and markets, local and global weather data, horoscopes, trivia and factoids, today in history and more.

How do you deliver the data?

FeedSyndicate delivers the content in a wide variety of standards based formats, including: XML (NewsML, NITF, Media RSS, RSS 9.1, RSS 2.0, Atom) or HTML  (JavaScript, PHP, iFrame and Flash)

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit and debit cards.  If you don’t have one of the above, you can try loading money onto a pre-paid Visa or MasterCard if that service is available in your area. Just make sure it’s valid for use on recurring online transactions (not all of them are).

Can I upgrade, downgrade?

Short answer: Yes. FeedSyndicate is priced based on the number of API queries you plan on using per month. As you grow, upgrade at any time and you will be charged pro-rata through the end of your billing term. You can downgrade at any time too.

Are there any long term contracts?

No. FeedSyndicate accounts are month to month. We make it simple to start, modify — and stop — your service at any time. If you cancel all content must be taken down and you must stop making requests to our systems.

What is an API Query?

In FeedSyndicate, a API query is a single piece of information from our API. Each used query is immediately deducted from the amount of available queries in your subscription.   For example a data-feed containing ten news articles would be ten API queries, or a request for weather from one zip code or a single stock result would be one (1) API query .
