The two others are the HMS Erebus and the HMS Terror. The three vessels were trapped in 1850 in the icy waters of Mercy Bay, located 600 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle.</p> <p> The wreck was found in shallow water days after Parks Canada archeologists started the search for the 422-ton vessel along the Beaufort Sea. The team found the ship upright in silt, the three masts missing. Because of the ice cold water, the ship did not deteriorate so much. The archeologists used side-scan sonars from inflatable Zodiac boats to search for Investigator.</p> <p> Parks Canada photographers will use underwater cameras to take pictures of the wreck this week. The agency\'s divers will be deployed next summer to further investigate the ship\'s hull.</p> <p> Environment Minister Jim Prentice, who visited the Parks Canada camp on Tuesday, said finding Investigator will help Ottawa assert Canada\'s claim to the Arctic area.</p> <p> On Aug. 10, two members of Parks Canada will continue searching for Erebus and Terror in the area. Sir John Franklin led the three vessels in 1845 to complete a crossing of the Northwest Passage. Ottawa named in 1992 Erebus and Terror national historic sites even if the two vessels are still missing. Investigator and another vessel, the HMS Resolute, were sent to search for Erebus and Terror.</p> <p> Archeologists said Mercy Bay being ice-free this season helped them locate Investigator. Along with a follow-up planned to the parody series "Scary Movie," the studio has also given the green light to sequels to "Halloween" and "Hellraiser."</p> <p> According to the Hollywood Reporter, a sequel to "Scary Movie" is in active development. "Scary Movie 4," the last installment in the franchise which parodied films like "Saw" and "War of the Worlds," grossed over $178 million worldwide back in 2006.</p> <p> While it was previously reported that a new sequel to "Halloween" was scrapped, initially planned for 3-D, "Halloween 3" is in development as well. The studio is also developing sequels to "Hellraiser" and "Children of the Corn."</p> <p> The Weinstein Co. is going to focus on its most bankable franchises while also creating films with lower budgets. In a landmark vote on Wednesday, the region\'s parliament approved the ban with 68 votes in favor, 55 against and nine abstentions.</p> <p> Animal rights activists, which collected 180,000 signatures for the ban, hailed the vote. Catalan Green Party\'s spokesman Francesc Pane described bullfighting as "gratuitous cruelty" and a "show of torture".</p> <p> His comments came before the vote at a time when dozens of opponents and supporters demonstrated outside the Parliament building and brought placards that read "Stop animal cruelty" or "Bulls yes, freedom yes".</p> <p> The supporters of vote said that the ban became imminent as bullfighting lost interest throughout Spain, especially among youngsters. A 2007 Gallup survey showed disinterest of three-quarters of Spaniards in the sports.</p> <p> The opponents of the vote, on the other hand, insisted that the corrida, as the event was locally known, must be preserved as an important tradition. The ban will be effective from January 2012.</p> <p> In Spain, the bullfighter stabs the animal several times before killing him at the end in a typical bullfight, which lasts nearly 20 minutes. A corrida involves three matadors, who tackles a pair of bulls each.</p> <p> The sport is also quite popular in Portugal and France, where the animal is not killed in the ring.</p> <p> In Latin America, Mexico has Plaza Mexico arena, the biggest stadium for bullfighting in the world with 55,000 spectators. Chase - AHN News Editor</div> <p>Manila, Philippines (AHN) - Philippine police say the social networking site Facebook helped them crack a string of murders and apprehend the prime suspect in a series of grisly robberies. Authorities believe they have a man suspected of killing nine people, including three foreigners.</p> <p> Police Senior Inspector Joel Mariano said Wednesday at least two witnesses were able to positively identify the suspect through his Facebook account. Witnesses placed Mark Dizon, 28, at one murder scene and investigators said they now have a "solid case" against him.</p> <p> The 28-year-old computer technician was taken into custody Tuesday in San Fernando City in La Union province, 139 miles north of Manila.</p> <p> Reportedly, the suspect\'s father set up a meeting in a public square where police swooped in and arrested the son. His father felt that if he didn\'t his son would be killed in a gun battle when police eventually caught up with him.</p> <p> According to police, Dizon killed six Filipinos, an American, a Canadian and a British man in Angeles City in the nearby province of Pampanga over the course of the last two weeks.</p> <p> Dizon, who comes from a wealthy family, denies all the charges.</p> <p> Police say the murder rampage began on July 12 when Canadian Geoffrey Allan Bennun, 60, and his Filipino girlfriend were shot to death in a hotel room.</p> <p> Four days later, Briton James Bolton Porter, 51, and his girlfriend were slain by a gunman inside their home.</p> <p> Then last week, American Albert Mitchell, 70, his wife and three Filipino domestic workers were killed inside their house.</p> <p> During their investigation police uncovered surveillance footage from a pawnshop in Angeles City showing the suspect in possession of a laptop that belonged to one of the victims.</p> <p> After hearing descriptions of the suspect, a family friend of the Mitchells looked up Dizon\'s Facebook page &mdash; the Mitchells\' daughter was one of his friends on the site. He showed the Facebook profile photo to the witnesses, who identified him as the fleeing man they saw.</p> <p> A security guard and a motorcycle taxi driver also identified Dizon as the man they saw leaving Mitchell\'s house on the night of the killing.</p> <p> Dizon allegedly befriended the victims to gain their trust. All of the men killed were retirees who lived in gated communities popular with foreigners.
