March 28, 2008 10:49 p.m. EST Matt Aug - AHN Sports Reporter New Orleans, LA.(AHN) - Briny Baird played well for the second consecutive day at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, shooting a 69 on Friday to take a one-shot lead at the event. Baird, who shot a stellar 67 on Thursday, sits at eight-under with 36 holes remaining and enjoys a lone stroke lead over Peter Lonard and Jay Williamson. Lonard was ahead late in the day but struggled over the final four holes, including a bogey on the final hole. Defending champion Nick Watney joined a group of three players at six-under and two back. of the lead.
