March 27, 2008 7:59 a.m. EST Ed Sutherland - AHN Editor Beijing, China (AHN) - A China-based movie download site has filed a libel lawsuit against a Hollywood organization. Jeboo Interactive Science & Technology claims the Motion Picture Association libeled the company by suggesting the Beijing firm pirated videos. The lawsuit, filed in a Beijing court, centers on a 2007 agreement to settle a lawsuit five movie studios had filed against Jeboo. In a MPA statement at the time, the group said Jeboo "confirmed the cessation of infringing activities" and compensated Walt Disney Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Universal and Paramount.
