Philadelphia, PA (AHN) - Surging Philadelphia kept its sizzling run going, pummeling the hard-luck Chicago Bulls right at the onset towards the finish en route to a 121-99 demolition job at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday night.

With Andre Miller held down to just nine points, the Sixers had nothing else to do but run as the veteran point guard kept finding teammates on the wings to outscore the Bulls 30-2 on fastbreak points. Miller shot just 2-of-4 in 38 minutes but dished off 18 times while committing just one turnover.

His teammates didn't let him down, with Andre Iguodala tallying 21 points on top of nine assists, four rebounds and four steals. Two other Sixers wound up with 20 or more points-Lou Williams registered 23 and Thaddeus Young added 20 off the bench.

The Sixers have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games to surge into a tie with Washington for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. They have won their last three, including a pivotal 95-90 victory at Boston on Monday. They are also two games above .500 for the first time this season.

The Bulls, on the other hand, dropped to 28-43 overall although they remained just three games out of the eighth spot, currently held by Atlanta, which won over Milwaukee earlier Wednesday.

Thabo Sefolosha led the Bulls with 20 points, five boards and five assists, Kirk Hinrich finished with 18 and Andres Nocioni tallied 16. Chicago will try to duplicate its 103-94 win against the Hawks last Tuesday when the two squads meet again at Philips Arena on Friday.

The Sixers host the Suns on Friday then visit the Cavaliers on Sunday.
