Sarkozy's Ex-wife Remarries

New York City, NY (AHN) - Just over a month after French President Nicolas Sarkozy married model Carla Bruni, it was Sarkozy's ex-wife's turn to be remarried on Monday. Cecilia Ciganer Alberniz, the former first lady, is now Mrs. Richard Attias.

The matrimonial service, dubbed by some as the revenge wedding, took place at the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Center in New York in the building's Rainbow Room. The couple had 150 guests.

Attias is an events planner with whom Albeniz admitted having an affair with in May 2005 when she temporarily left Sarkozy. He is 48, she is 50.

Albeniz tried to keep the details of her wedding secret. She even fired last week Versace for revealing not only what her wedding gown would look like, but also disclosing the date and venue for the wedding. To prevent more leaks, the couple prohibited their guests from bringing cameras and mobile phones.
