New York, NY (CNS) - Erykah Badu gets a fragrant deal with Tom Ford. The Grammy Award-winning singer has been chosen by the fashion designer to be the new face of a new yet-unnamed fragrance concocted by Ford, Vogue.com reports.

Little is still known about the new collaboration but it is guaranteed that the politically outspoken singer will make headlines fronting the new perfume.

Badu, whose was born Erica Abi Wright, rose to fame in the 90s with her highly acclaimed debut album in 1997. Her lead single, On & On, which had earned her a Grammy, reached number two on the singles chart.

Ford had received the Council of Fashion Designers of America Accessory Designer of the Year Award in 2002 while he was still with Yves Saint-Laurent.
