Geseke, Germany (AHN) - A 54-year old German was fined with $618 after he violated the speed limit twice - on a wheelchair.

Guenther Eichmann was stopped by local police after he registered 40 mph on the speedometer on an electric wheelchair.

A former engineer, Eichmann said he modified the wheelchair's electric engine so it could run faster.

After being stopped twice for going beyond the speed limit, Eichmann's wheelchair was confiscated in addition to being fined.
